
David L. Bales co-founded Texans for Stem Research (TSCR) in 2008, which was renamed Texans for Cures (TFC) in 2016. A native Austinite, David has always believed helping others is one of the keys to a happy and fulfilling life.
As Chairman of TFC for 16 years, David compiled one of the most internationally recognized Medical Advisory Committees in the world. These doctors and researchers are dedicated to improving lives and curing diseases through regenerative medicine. Texans for Cures continues to educate, advocate, and most importantly, help patients enroll in FDA approved clinical trials to alleviate suffering from diseases and hope for a better quality of life.
David additionally serves as the Chairman of the nonprofit Foundation for Cell, Gene and Tissue Innovations (CGTI), where he focuses on raising awareness for ALS and funding FDA approved trials for as many patients as possible.
As a member of the Human Immunome Project’s Patient Advocacy Committee, David is excited to continue advocating for cutting edge science to bring relief to patients suffering disease.
