Lisa Goldman van Nostrand

Chief of Staff



Lisa Goldman van Nostrand brings diplomatic problem-solving skills and creativity to her role as chief of staff of the Human Immunome Project. As a strategist, start-up CEO, experienced chief of staff, and communicator, she is skilled at navigating the complex dynamics of global coalitions bound by moonshot ambition.

Over the last two decades, Goldman van Nostrand has spearheaded partnerships and high-impact advocacy campaigns in a range of board and chief of staff positions for the global malaria response. Her most recent work has been serving as strategic advisor for the Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE), a humanitarian NGO formed in 2019 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the Gates Foundation to accelerate elimination of preventable diseases. In this role, she she steered strategic positioning, brand development, and high-impact event production during the start-up years of the Institute.

Her experience in humanitarian advocacy started off with global concert productions, including Senegalese superstar Youssou N’Dour’s Africa Live concert and Quincy Jones’ We Are the Future. She started her career in the high-tech sector, with foundational experience working for Silicon Valley communications icon Andy Cunningham, then developing and directing the Interactive Media Festival in the early Internet era. She co-founded and served as CEO for Construct Internet Design Company, a development start-up serving blue-chip tech and entertainment clients. Construct was awarded a Prix Ars Electronica for its client work and gained recognition from the Cooper-Hewitt Museum before a successful acquisition.

Goldman van Nostrand holds a BA in Fine Arts from Rice University and also studied at the Université de Paris IV, Sorbonne.
