The Human Immunome Project Appoints Michelle Bair Vice President of Philanthropy

NEW YORK, July 17, 2024 – Michelle Bair has joined the Human Immunome Project (HIP) as Vice President of Philanthropy, the organization announced today.

“Michelle Bair is a powerhouse and we’re excited to have her join the team,” said CEO Hans Keirstead. “Michelle’s global experience, development expertise, and track record in major gifts and partnerships will prove critical in mobilizing the resources needed to deliver on our mission to decode and model the immune system.”

Michelle is a nonprofit executive leader with more than 17 years’ experience in global partnerships and resource mobilization. Most recently, she served as President and CEO for Faith in Practice, a Houston, Texas organization that provides surgical, medical, and dental interventions in Guatemala, as well as health-related educational programs. She’s also led development for the Memorial Hermann Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Memorial Hermann Health System. Michelle serves in a voluntary capacity as Board Chair of the Étoile Academy Charter School, leading its strategic planning process and raising more than $30 million. She is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and holds a PhD from Texas Tech University in Fine Arts Administration.
